I am The Queen. My day job includes potty-training, teaching not to bite, cleaning up messes I don’t want to know what they are, and lots of hugs and kisses. I moonlight on weekends working in a hotel where I can have conversations that don’t consist of saying, “Don’t hit your brother/sister,” and “don’t stick that in your ear.”

I am a 2002 graduate of the inaugural Bachelor of Fine Arts degree program at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington’s Creative Writing department.

I married the love of my life The King (who is now a teacher) in 2003. We live with our three beautiful children, The Princess, The Duke and The Earl and our dog Charlie.

I love the ocean, the smell of cut grass, cheesecake, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and sleeping. Not necessarily in that order.

I despise ignorance, rudeness, disrespect, organ meat and elevator music.

Stop and stay awhile. Learn about The Princess and some of the things I’ve learned about and learned to embrace associated with autism.
